Oncogenic® performs cancer genotyping using the Illumina® BeadArrayTM technology on a BeadLab system. With this technology, 8 to 96 samples are assayed for up to 350 000 SNP loci in a single experiment.
In tumoral genotyping, probe density is critical to mapping breakpoints at high resolution. Tiling probes placed closely together along the tiling path vastly increase the probability of detecting micro genomic copy number variations that can be completely overlooked when tiling probes are represented at lower frequency in a given region.
